Staff Report
Harrison and
Brownsburg claimed team sectional titles for the HCC in action Tuesday evening.
The Raiders won their own sectional while Brownsburg prevailed at South Putnam.
Those were the highlights of what was a solid but not spectacular night for the
conference.
Harrison
amassed 155.5 points in outpacing second place West Lafayette. Lafayette Jeff
was third with 97.5. McCutcheon was a disappointing seventh with 33 points on
the evening.
Brownsburg
dominated the field at the South Putnam Sectional. The Bulldogs finished with
148.5 points to easily outdistance Plainfield for the crown. Avon was third in
the field with a total of 104 points.
The
remaining five HHC teams all flow into the same sectional held at Noblesville.
The results were all too familiar to league teams. The schools took the five
places from second through sixth, but could not overtake Carmel for the title.
Hamilton Southeastern headed the contingent in second with 134 points while
Noblesville was third with 85. Westfield claimed fourth on the evening, Fishers
fifth, and Zionsville sixth.
Individual
results from all of these sectionals can be found on the state pages of Hoosier
Authority.
