BA: Lafayette Jeff downs powerful Crawfordsville with late rally

Staff Report

Nick
Albrecht delivered a two run double to highlight a five run sixth inning as
Lafayette Jeff downed 3A #2 Crawfordsville in the Joe Heath Classic over the
weekend. The victory snapped Crawfordsville’s 21 game winning streak dating
back to last year’s state championship season for the Athenians. The final was
8-6 for the Bronchos.

Lafayette
Jeff wasn’t through for the day. John Ripke tossed a one=hit shutout versus
Chesterton later in the day. Ripke struck out 13 as the Bronchos rolled to a
10-0 victory. The two wins leave Jeff at 4-0 for the season and guarantee the
Bronchos will be moving up in the polls next week.
