BA: HCC still dominating state poll

Staff Report

Normally,
representation in the state poll tends to even out among conferences as the
season goes along. Each conference seems to establish its own “big dog” and
that team winds up in the poll. Such is not the case for the HCC this season.
The conference is still dominating the entire 4A list. Four HCC teams are among
the top 12 in Indiana. Undefeated Brownsburg is the fourth spot while Lafayette
Jeff, also undefeated, is in ninth. Westfield has a perfect record and is in
tenth. Noblesville holds down the #12 spot with an 8-3 mark. Here is a look at
the complete poll in all classes.

CLASS 4A
1. Lake Central (9-0) (6) 69
2. Crown Point (10-0) (1) 64
3. Homestead (7-0) 45
4. Brownsburg (7-0) 38
5. Kokomo (6-0) 37
6. Evansville Central (7-0) 35
7. Indianapolis Cathedral (6-0) 29
8. Penn (7-0) 20
9. Lafayette Jefferson (6-0) 15
10. Westfield (5-0) 7
11. Anderson Highland (6-1) 6
12. Noblesville (8-3) 5
12. Portage (7-1) 5
14. Carmel (4-2) 3
14. Decatur Central (4-0) 3
16. Center Grove (6-1) 2
17. Evansville Harrison (3-0) 1
